Dr. Sunila Khandelwal

I am Dr. Sunila Khandelwal having a rich clinical & academic experience of over 38 years. My passion is to deliver dedicated services for 'Mid Life Women Healthcare & Management of Menopause' in India. I am an Alumni of SMS Medical College, Jaipur and did MBBS & MS (Obstetrics & Gynecology). I am the recipient of Fellowship of International College of Surgeons (USA), Fellow of Indian College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists and Fellow of Indian College of Maternal & child heath. Using my administrative & clinical skills, I dedicatedly worked at Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences & Technology as Medical Superintendent, Professor and HOD after working for 20 years at Govt. Zenana Hospital, SMS Medical College Jaipur.

My areas of interest are on-family welfare, infertility, Gyneac diseases, high risk Obstetrics, and menopausal medicine. I could publish research papers in most of the indexed Journal of high impact factor. I enjoyed exchanging my experiences and getting updates on the subject while lecturing widely at National & International Platforms (USA, Europe, Asia pacific counties)....

For last 20 years I am enjoying serving mature women at midlife healthcare and menopause center. I am also attached to Fortis Lafemme Escorts Hospital & running exclusive Menopausal Clinic at, a multispecialty one stop shop for midlife women healthcare and individualized management of menopause. I am happy to cater women of middle class status to at Apex Hospital Private Limited and continue using my surgical skills for gynaecological disorder too. I developed Risk Score assessment tools for bone health, cancers and heart disease and also set Protocols for management on evidence based medicine for effective counseling and research data collection, and conduct regularly counseling educative sessions.

I have honor of working as President, Indian Menopause Society, represented India at North American Menopause Society & Asia Pacific Menopause Federation and is holding a prestigious position of Secretary General, CAMS, and Board Member - International Menopause Society for networking of global initiatives in 57 countries on mature women health care. Being an active member of NAMS, BMS, EMAS & International Menopause Society, I got trained at USA & UK. Pioneered the first menopause clinic in Rajasthan (1997) and established first HRT research unit in India. Holding the responsibility of President Indian Menopause Society, I got opportunity to induct courses of Credential Indian Menopause Practitioners who are delivering their expertise across the country. Also was the Founder Editor of Journal of Mid Life Health & on Advisory Board of various Indexed National & International journals.

On Social Front, has been awarded “Times of India Health Award” (2013) as best Gynecologist of Rajasthan for her academic achievements, clinical skills &social services, DNA Award “Women of Substance” (2012), GuniJan 2000 and state level & International Jain Vaishya award (2003) for woman health services rendered to poor segments at urban & rural areas. I was also honored as the “Distinguished Alumni” of SMS Medical College and “Award of Excellence” and Highest prestigious "The Wulf Utian IMS award for Achiements infurthering women's health" by International Menopause Society.

It is always a pleasure an opportunity to receive invitation for Medi talks on T.V. (National & State Level Broadcasts) & by different NGO clubs. I discovered my hobby of creating a documentary film 'SUMANGLA' as Executive Producer, screening at various platforms making a great impact and a major motivational force for taking right steps at right time for women in their second adulthood. I offer my publication, a Booklet 'Stay Healthy after 40' on menopause, osteoporosis, cancer prevention, nutrition and exercise etc. to women stepping in my clinic for education and better compliance of given healthcare advices. I thank media who support me in passion for publishing regularly articles on women health in health columns of leading Magazines & News Papers thereby helping me to improve Mature woman’s Quality of life by spreading health awareness. Presently delivering services at my center for menopause management with individualized comprehensive approach.
